How can I upgrade my domain nameservers?

Authors list

In order to connect a domain name to a web hosting plan, and make the website content appear when someone visits it through a browser, you must update the domain name with the nameservers of the web hosting plan.

If the domain name has been registered via Top.Host along with the purchase of a web hosting plan, the nameservers will be updated automatically.

If the domain name belongs to another provider and the web hosting plan has been purchased from Top.Host, you must use the nameserver values mentioned in the web hosting activation email and insert them into your domain, through your provider’s panel.

If you have purchased the domain from Top.Host, please follow the steps below:

1. Log into myTophost Panel.

2. In the option My services, you will find the domain names Top.Host has provided you with. You can find the Nameservers link right below the domain name you are interested in. You can click on it to go to the update page.

3. Enter the nameserver values in the corresponding fields and click Save Changes. That’s it!

NOTE: You can find your nameservers in the web hosting activation email under the subject Web Hosting :: Login Information.

Once you have entered your Top.Host nameservers in the domain name, you can make sure that the process was successful by performing a WHOis search. It might take up to 48 hours for all the ISPs (internet service providers) to be notified of the new nameservers.
