Τop.Host’s gTLD domains with the extensions .com/.info/.net/.org.com/.info/.net/.org/ .eu /.club / .email /.coffee / .website /.holiday /.estate /.photography come with Lock-Registrar. The service is enabled by default and it is used to protect the extensions from unauthorized actions from any third party, as well as unintentional actions during the following tasks:

1. Transferring the domain name to another registrar

2. Changing the domain holder’s information

3. Deleting a domain

In order for someone to transfer a domain to a new registrar, the domain must be unlocked and therefore, the Lock-Registrar must be disabled. If you have registered your gTLD domain from Top.Host and you wish to transfer it to another registrar, you can manage the status in myTophost Panel, by taking the following steps:

1. Log into myTophost Panel

2. On the main service page, you will see a lock icon next to the domain. If it is locked, the service Lock-Registrar is disabled. If it is unlocked, the domain is not covered by the service. In order to manage the service status, click on the button Manage of the corresponding domain name. (cf. image, click to zoom in) 

3. Find the box with the name Lock-Registrar. 

a) Once the service is disabled, you will see the option ON. If you select OFF, the domain is unlocked.

b) Once the service is enabled, you will see the option OFF. With this status, the domain can be transferred to another registrar. Select ON, to disable Lock-Registrar again.
