How can I install WordPress through Plesk?

Λίστα συντακτών

In case you want to install WordPress through Plesk, follow the steps described below.

1. Log into myTophost Panel and then click on Plesk Login in order to connect to the Plesk of the plan that you are interested in.

2. Click on Applications.

3. Click on All available applications, type WordPress in the search bar and click on Search. Once you see the search results, click on Custom Install in order to download the application.

4. Read and accept the terms of use by checking the box I accept the terms of Licence Agreement and then click on Next.

5. Choose the location where you want to download WordPress. If you want it to be in the root folder, leave the field on the right-hand side of the site blank. If you prefer a specific subfolder, simply enter it in the blank field on the right-hand side of the site.

a) Check the box Automatically update this app when updates are available if you want WordPress to be automatically updated.

NOTE: If you want it to be automatically updated, there might be plugin / theme incompatibilities  which can lead to malfunctions on your website. In this case we suggest that you do not select this option. Plesk will notify you anyway when there is an update available.

b) In Administrative Access, select if you prefer to connect to WordPress management with your Plesk credentials or create new credentials directly from there.

6. In the section Main configuration during installation, Plesk will automatically fill in some fields. You can edit them however you want and click on Install to complete the process.

NOTE: Automatic download allows Plesk to create the database and the configuration file, therefore you don’t need to do anything.
