A domain name should be connected with a hosting plan, in order for the website content to be visible on the web. To connect a domain name with its hosting plan, you have to update the domain name with the nameservers of the hosting plan.

If you have registered the domain name while purchasing a hosting plan from Top.Host, the nameservers will be automatically updated.

If you have registered your domain with another registrar, but you have purchased a hosting plan from Top.Host, you have to enter the information of the nameservers (that you received in your plan activation email) to your domain, through the panel of the domain registrar.

If you have registered your domain with Top.Host, take the following steps:

1. Log into myTophost Panel.

2. In My Services you can see the domain names that you have registered with Top.Host. Below every domain there is the link Nameservers. Click on the one that you want to update.

3. Insert the values of the nameservers in the respective fields and click on Save. That was it!

In case you wish to create your own nameservers, on which your domain will appear, (e.g. ns1.mydomain.com), click on the link Create Nameservers on the Nameservers page of step 3. 

Create the nameserver and click on Save Changes.

The procedures above (updating nameservers & creating your own personal nameservers), can also be managed by clicking on the button Manage that you will find on the main page of your services. For each action, you can see the respective box.

NOTE: You can find your nameservers in the web hosting activation email, with the subject Web Hosting :: Management Information.

After inserting the nameservers from Top.Host in your domain, you can confirm that the procedure was successfully completed, by making a whois search. 

The ISPs (internet service providers) update with the new nameservers, might take up to 48 hours (propagation).
